Up to 90% of Liposomal Vitamin C Can Permeate Into Tissue

We all know Vitamin C is an important vitamin (and antioxidant) used by the body to keep us strong and optimal. It is used in the maintenance of bones, muscle, and blood vessels, as well as assisting in the formation of collagen, and the absorption of iron. There are fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins. Vitamin C falls into the water-soluble group, and because cell membranes are made up of fat, efficient and effective absorption of Vitamin C can be tough.
A recent article on naturalsociety.com reports that liposomal vitamin C taken orally is able to deliver much more vitamin C to cells than even mega-dose IV form of vitamin C. How much more? It has been reported that while only 20% of vitamin C administered through IV gets into cells, levels up to 90% of liposomal vitamin C can permeate tissue on a cellular level. This is because liposomal vitamin has an added lipid layer which is able to fuse with cell membranes to deliver its contents directly to the cell while non-liposomal vitamin C is often processed and dissolved by the body faster than it may be absorbed.
Cardiologist Thomas Levy MD, even with his years of experience administering mega-dose vitamin C, found this hard to believe but he investigated further and was impressed. You can read about his findings on his website in his article called Liposome-Encapsulated Glutathione.
Hi everyone,
Welcome to the new website!
As you may or may not know, we closed the doors of Yaletown Holistics back in August of this year. We had a great run and a great time, met and helped many wonderful people. I hope to continue to do so in my new office. I have relocated and trimmed down the services offered so that I may focus on some specific projects, continue with EAV assessments, and travel to help more people optimize and revitalize their health in locations outside of the Lower Mainland.
